About Derick
Overview:
Derick is a father, husband, public speaker, and former pastor. Taking advantage of the element of fun, Derick mixes laughter and full enjoyment into the doldrums of life.
Derick speaks to business groups, non-profits on a variety of issues from leadership, emotional intelligence, public speaking, coaching, enjoying life, and much more.
Derick also speaks to children, doing lively storytelling that keeps kids at the edge of their seats while participating in the fun. There is often a mix of illusion and interaction in each event.
Derick is a proud member of Toastmasters International through the Huntington Centennial, H.E. Dobson, and to the Toastmasters Unlimited Toastmasters Clubs. Derick currently serves as Vice President of Public Relations and Membership in the Huntington Centennial Toastmasters Club.
Derick resides outside of Huntington, West Virginia.
Family:
Family is vitally important to the Dickens household. With three lovely girls (pictured above), Derick keeps active in learning some of his most important life lessons from these three girls and his lovely and gorgeous wife, Lacie.
Academics:
Derick is expected to graduate with his MBA in 2010 with a specialization in Leadership. Derick also holds a MA in Religion and an M-Div. Derick has done extensive research in philosophy, theology, and worldview issues.
